Philippians 1:6 “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

I never really thought that I would be writing a column in the time-honored church newsletter, but here I am. Of course, I never thought that we would be wearing masks, social distancing, closing businesses, burning down cities or any of the other thousand things that are different in 2020, but here we are.

In uncommon times we are called on to do uncommon things. As Christians, whether in season or out of season, we do it all for the Glory of God.

I want to remind you my dear brothers and sisters, that this world is never out of control. No matter what seems to be breaking loose, it can’t break free from His sovereign hand.

Just remember that through all that has happened or ever will happen, He loves you and is working each circumstance for a purpose that He has determined. (Romans 8:28) Exodus 3:7-9 teaches us that God does hear the cries of His people and He knows your sufferings. But sometimes it seems that he has forgotten us or at least is not listening. Can you imagine the Israelites being enslaved for 430 years (Exodus 6:14-25) waiting on God to answer? Let me encourage you my friends, that God is at work in your life and He intends good for you!

As some have transitioned back to meeting together and others are still deciding what is best for their households, please know that Kristi and I continue to pray for you daily.

Until He Comes,

Pastor Greg
